Ever caught your dogs yawn?
According to recent scientific research, yawns are not only contagious between humans, or even just betweens humans and chimps (their fellow apes) but also between humans and dogs! Just wondering if you guys have ever caught your dogs yawn? Or have you noticed your dog yawning just after you did? What about cats and other pets?

I caught Xena yawned once. I think it was around January. It was right after eating a lot of leftover.

I'm not really sure if it was a yawn or locked jaw. I constantly see my black labby do this after eating.

Ah, so they would be yawns caused by eating (post-prandial yawns, if you will) - what I'm looking for is owners that have found themselves needing to yawn after their dog has done so, or owners that have yawned themselves and found their dog to do so afterwards - get it?

I actually experience that until now. When my cats and dog yawn, I also feel like doing it! And, vice versa.

So, there's really a scientific research huh? That's quite interesting.

I went for a run on the beach with my boyfriends dog once. It was so funny we both came home absolutely knackered downed a gallon of water each (me from a bottle, him from a bowl) then we both collapsed on the sofa. As i looked at him/the dog-Luka (originally to say ''get the fou tou sou of this couch'') I yawned and as I did he yawned bk, I didn't have the heart to boot him off after that!!!!!!
